To obtain an ID card in korea, there are several things to do.

 

First, you must prove your area of birth by showing your family registration certificate. Everybody can get one of these through their local government office.

 

You also have to have one other form of official identification such as a driver's license.

 

Then, you must prove where you live by showing a utility bill with your name on it.

 

Finally, you must return the completed application paper work to the appropriate office and wait for your application to be processed.
